This article of manufacture is directed to heating and drying units and more specifically to heating and drying units for clothing items. Additionally, a portable heating and drying unit to allow a user to heat or dry a clothing item, e.g., glove, boot, or shoe. The portable heating and drying unit is a casing including a thermal heater, a series of fans, and a pivotal air vent to allow heating and drying of clothing items.

PORTABLE HEATING AND DRYING UNIT

This article of manufacture is directed to heating and drying units and more specifically to heating and drying units for clothing items. Additionally, a portable heating and drying unit to allow a user to heat or dry a clothing item, e.g., glove, boot, or shoe.

The portable heating and drying unit is a casing including a thermal heater, a series of fans, and a pivotal air vent to allow heating and drying of clothing items.

Figure 1 shows portable heating and drying unit 100 and includes, a casing 105, a thermal coil 110, a fan 120, an air duct 130, a pivotal air vent 140, and a power switch 150. Casing 105 is a conventional metal material, manufactured in a rectangular shape similar to that shown in Figure 1. Thermal coil 110 is a conventional thermal coil electrically powered to heat incoming airflow. Further, thermal coil 110 is attached to casing 105 and air duct 130 using conventional methods. Ducting 130 is a conventional airflow duct to transfer air from casing inlet (not shown) to pivotal air vent 140. Pivotal air vent 140 is a rotatable vent containing multiple air holes and is mechanically connected to duct 130 via a hollowed ball hinge (not shown). Fan 120 is a conventional squirrel-cage fan used to propel airflow from casing inlet to pivotal air vent 140. Power switch 150 is a conventional two-pole power switch.
