Coaxial Cable Tightener

Coaxial cables must be properly tightened to ensure adequate signal quality. Coaxial cables are conventionally tightened with a wrench or by hand, however it is often difficult to properly tighten such cables to electrical equipment due the location of the appliance and lack of space to grasp and turn the cable. What is needed is a way to easily turn the coaxial cable connector in a confined space.

The present invention is a coaxial cable tightener that encloses around the cable and allows the cable to be easily tightened in confined environments.

Figure 1 Open coaxial cable tightener and coaxial cable

Figure 1 shows open coaxial cable tightener 100. Coaxial cable tightener 100 consists of two parts connected by hinge 140, which can be closed on coaxial cable 150 and coaxial cable connector 160. When coaxial cable tightner 100 is closed, coaxial cable 150 rests in coaxial cable tube 120 and coaxial connector socket 110 encloses coaxial cable connecter 160. Turning wing 130 is turned in tightening direction, causing coaxial connector socket 110 to turn coaxial cable connector 160 for tightening to cable receptacle.
