Abstract

Small children enjoy bicycle rides, but many parents are concerned about the safety of bicycle trailers designed for children. In particular, parents worry about the safety of bicycle trailers because the low profile of many trailers makes it difficult for automobile drivers to see them. What is needed is a more visible bicycle trailer for children. The present invention is an improved bicycle trailer that includes a conventional trailer 100 with a battery-powered flashing light 110 fixedly attached to the roof of the trailer 100, as arranged in Figure 1. In operation, a user turns on flashing light 110 whenever trailer 100 is towed by a bicycle. Having the light on the roof of the trailer increases the probability that motor vehicle drivers will be able to see the trailer.
