Abstract

In the business of professional gaming operations, player retention is essential for high-profit margins. Slot machines - the highest profit games of all - provide an excellent opportunity to use ways other than gaming options to accentuate player retention. By incorporating free internet access for the use of standard browsing software while actively gaming, slot machines can be improved in this manner. So long as players meet a predetermined level of usage, the provision of free internet access will continue. The player is therefore rewarded immediately for his gaming, which serves as a strong incentive to continue playing. The reward is also an affordable, fun way for the casinos to attract new patrons. As new players commence gaming, the system resets and the same rules apply.
