The handlebar attachment gradually slopes such that it can comfortably support the curving portion of the forearms to wrists to hands segments. The H-bar assembly mechanically fastens to the bicycle's pre-existing handlebars.

H-bar handlebar attachment

There is a need for the cycling enthusiast to be as comfortable as possible during extended periods of riding. One way to accommodate cyclists is to make available handlebar extensions. Most designs are aimed at the professional cyclist, or for specialized areas of cycling, such as hill climbing. The present invention is an attempt to accommodate all levels of cyclists, from the leisurely weekend rider to the serious everyday trainer.

Figure 1 H-bar assembly

Figure 1 shows an H-bar assembly and consists of a pre-existing handlebars 110 set and an H-bar attachment 100.

H-bar attachment 100 is mechanically fastened to a bicycle's pre-existing handlebars 110 and is adjustable in its mount such that it can accommodate any cyclist's physical dimensions. H-bar attachment 100 is forged from conventional handlebar metals, one example being a chrome-alloy. H-bar attachment 100 is surrounded by foam that coats the majority of its length to facilitate sweat absorption, enhance comfort, and prevent slippage.
