Abstract

Transmitting the phone number electronically for a Paybox from the payer to the payee.

Introduction

This paper describes improvements in the field of Paybox systems.

A Paybox system uses mobile phones for paying bills, e.g. in taxis, restaurants, pizza services, etc. The payer gives his phone number to the payee and he transmits this phone number and the amount to the Paybox. The Paybox then calls the payer on his mobile phone. After having accepted the amount, the payer enters a code number and the bill will be paid.

Problem(s) To Be Solved

The problem occurs when giving the payee the phone number. It could be misunderstood and it is time consuming and may generate errors when typing in this number manually.

Proposed Solution to the Problem(s)

The problem can easily be solved if the phone number may be given to the payee electronically. Therefore a barcode containing the phone number and the Paybox name is on a label which is placed on the phone. With a bar code reader the phone number may fast and easily be read by the payee and transferred immediately to the Paybox.

Figures

A similar label may be generated by the Paybox provider.
