   The standard method for reading and resetting communication devices involves a basic two hand operational se- quence. Under normal operating conditions, this does not present an unusual problem, other than creating a basic in- convenience. The preferred method of operation would obviously be considered a one handed or no handed method. This is particularly important when wrist watch devices or pagers are entertained in the discussion.

   This preferred method of switch actuation can indeed be obtained thru the integration of a gravitational switching device. The gravitational switching device is activated according to its name. The switch will be activated upon a pre- specified appropriately significant change in acceleration. The switch can take the shape of several form factors. A mass which can be attached to a cantilever would be considered one of the preferred methods. In practice, the mass will deflect the cantilever, upon significant acceleration, and ultimately short to another contact, pad or similar linking device. This switching could also be accomplished thru the use of spring members, or other similar devices.
