Abstract

The Figure shows a detachable optional vibrator 10 which can be attached to a pager or a receiver/decoder smart card 12. Vibrator IO comprises, within its own housing 14, a vibrator motor 16 and rechargeable batteries I8 coupled to vibrator motor 16. Vibrator motor 16 may consist of any vibrating mechanism activated electroni- cally. Pager I2 and vibrator IO are operarionally coupled by preferably gold contact points. A signal from pager 12 through the contact points activates vibrator 10.

AUXILIARY VIBRATOR

by Wang Seow Pang

The Figure shows a detachable optional vibrator 10 which can be attached to a pager or a receiver/decoder smart card 12. Vibrator IO comprises, within its own housing 14, a vibrator motor 16 and rechargeable batteries I8 coupled to vibrator motor 16. Vibrator motor 16 may consist of any vibrating mechanism activated electroni- cally. Pager I2 and vibrator IO are operarionally coupled by preferably gold contact points. A signal from pager 12 through the contact points activates vibrator 10.

Vibrator IO can always be activated at a constant

vibrating speed or optionally, at a varied vibrating speed. For units where varied speed is desired, a speed control switch 20 is coupled to vibrator motor 16.

Another option which can be applied to vibrator IO is a source control switch 22. If the operator wants vibrator 10 to operate on the pager batteries, the operator can select the appropriate setting for switch 22. Con- versely, if the, operator desires to operate vibrator IO independent of pager 12 by using batteries 18, the operator selects the corresponding switch setting of switch 22.
