  Electronic products incorporating electronic assem- blies within injection molded plastic housings often require entry of multi-lime cables in a fashion providing both strain relief and tamper resistance.

  A design consistent with these requirements is illus- trated in plan view in Figure 1 and sectional views A-A and B-B. This design provides strain relief without use of restraining hardware or bulkhead connectors, reduc- ing bill of material costs and assembly touch time.

Figure 1 shows a cable passing through a sleeved mouse hole" opening in an injection molded bottom

housing. Inside the bottom housing, the cable is strain relieved by cable ties anchoring the cable to the housing via pass core openings to tamper resistant barriers along both sides of the cable e&y opening. Sectional view A-A illustrates this in an a&al view while sectional view B-B depicts a cross-section.

  Use of injection mold+ featores as descrii reduces assembly touch time and adds only two cable ties to the bi of materials. This approach is tamper resistant by design because the cable ties must be cut in order to gain access into the assem&ly.
