Abstract

An innovative method of actuating a snap was achieved by utilizing the existing mechanism to release and antenna combination to slide freely out of the cra- die (see Figure 1). The antenna has a cantilever beam both the pager and the external antenna When the release button on the cradle is depressed, it allows the pager which is designed to deflect upon being depressed and "unhook" the antenna housing (see Figure 2).
