Background

              The disclosed method addresses the problem of the incapability of a pick-and-place tool to pick up an empty standardized 35-mm component tray. As a result, the tool operator is required to manually discard the empty trays during IPA production runs.

Description

              The disclosed method is a nozzle design that enables IPA modules to pick-up and discard an empty 35-mm standardized tray from a pick-and-place tool (see Figure 1). The key elements are:

§         Material: Pourable polyurethane polyester base resin

§         Trade name: Poly 75-80

§         Mix ratio: 2A – 1B

§         Hardness: 80 Shore A

§         Color: Yellow amber

§         Mix viscosity: 5000 cps

§         Density: 26 in. x 3/lb
