Equalization by directly modifying the parameters in the bit-stream of parametrically encoded

audio

In parametric coding schemes such as used for audio, equalization is easily possible to

directly modify parameters in the bit-stream. In an output bit-stream of a parametric coder,

parameters such as frequency, amplitude and also phase are directly available. The values of

these parameters can be change in order to achieve at equalization or other audio effects. As

an example, it is possible to raise all amplitudes for a given frequency range.
