Abstract

Extra steps must be taken for people to deter- mine how to prepare for a day's journey and tasks. For example, one might look outside their house for local conditions and watch the weather channel on TV in the morning to determine the forecasted conditions for whether they are going to figure out if one should wear a raincoat or a winter coat. You might also determine if you need tools like ice scrapers for the car windows, chains for the tires, or other. A method is desired to help people prepare for their day journeys, based on current and predicted weather conditions for their path.

BACKGROUND

Extra steps must be taken for people to deter- mine how to prepare for a day's journey and tasks. For example, one might look outside their house for local conditions and watch the weather channel on TV in the morning to determine the forecasted conditions for whether they are going to figure out if one should wear a raincoat or a winter coat. You might also determine if you need tools like ice scrapers for the car windows, chains for the tires, or other. A method is desired to help people prepare for their day journeys, based on current and predicted weather conditions for their path.

SOLUTION

RF tags on all your clothes send a signal to the receiver and controller with the software health advisor agent helper at your house. The agent deter- mines what clothes you have on, and it knows your predetermined schedule and destinations based on your previous electronic scheduler entries. The agent determines current and predicted weather conditions for your path from the intemet. It then determines if the clothes you have on are appropriate and it lets you know via a home terminal or voice input/output unit. It will also make recommenda- tions for tools in addition to the clothing.
