INTRODUCTION

This paper describes improvements in the field of voice and data logging for TETRA system solutions.

PROBLEM(S) TO BE SOLVED

The current customer request concerning logging can be solved today only by the use of additional system technology to the main switching unit.

This is effecting the system costs and brings us possibly out of the future competition

PROPOSED SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM{S)

The current logging requirements are defined as followed:

The customer required from the operative/tactical views a number of defined so-called 'user groups' . The voice and data logging of any communication inside the' user group' has to be guaranteed. This applies also for communications between the 'user group' and external resources.

The realization of these functions, requires a huge hardware effort in the infrastructure (switch).

On the other hand, system hardware limitation bas to be taken into consideration. If the customer still requested the hole functionality, which was mentioned before, we could offer today only a limited version.

One possible solution to fulfill the required function will be the use of an additional mobile radio in each 'user group'. These mobile records the communication (voice, data) in the respective 'user group' and hands over the information to a Jogging system. By using these drafts, it will be possib...
