Disclosed is a method to provide a one time authorization code for a service person to enter a location, comprising of the following steps: scheduling the service person by a computer over the Internet; generating the one time authorization code for entry into the location; transferring the one time authorization code for entry, to a server; coding the entry system of the location with the one time authorization code.

An illustrative application is provided in this method. It is difficult for someone to be at home at a particular time for a service person to enter a home to repair services, provide telephone/cable connections, delivery of furniture etc. Some of the delivery people either provide an one hour advance notice or provide approximate times such as "9:00 AM - 1:00 PM." This type of scheduling creates unnecessary hardship when all the adults in a home work during the normal business hours. Proposed is a system for such scheduling, the smart door/security system is automatically updated for a one time authorization so that delivery/service person can enter a home to perform the above mentioned services. The system can further be fine tuned to allow entry only during certain restricted times.
