Present connector systems, for example as presently used in assembling automotive lamps, have a gripping surface provided a lamp part. Often said gripping surface is too small to enable comfortable handling. To counteract this problem a lamp is proposed being provided with a gripping surface which extends over both a part of the lamp itself, for example the lamp cap, and the connector. In the interface between the lamp (cap) and the connector a keying/torsion system counteracts interchangeability and mechanical loading of the electrical contacts by torsion.
