This discclosure describes a flexible height and a flexible width of a frame structure. Utilizing a hinge and foldable principle the total height and width of the frame can be adjusted to meet the requirement.

Flexible Width and Height Frame Structure for Water Cooling Components

  As the computer performance increases so does the power and the cooling requirements. For a high end server, the conventional air cooling will be at the limit of the air cooling. To meet this high cooling requirements the intake air needs to be cooled. The water cooled pipe with fins are one of the method to cool the intake air (the heat exchanger). Considering all the limitation and requirements such as maximum height of 71" max width of 36" we proposes a Flexible height and width frame structure

The pink box represents the heat exchangers with 32 water cooled tubes. The top part of the frame can be folded become half frame. The frame width is initially 11.5" with the folded frame the total width will be 23".

The picture above shows the frame structure in the upright position, When the frame is folded the maximum height will be 71" from the ground and when the total width will be 23" This frame will meet the IBM minimum tilt of 14 degrees and will meet maximum of 71" height .
