Safety Circuit for UPS disconnect problem

Disclosed is a safety circuit for the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) which
cut off the leakage voltage to the AC plug. The uninterruptible power supply
(UPS) with load unit has the leakage voltage to the AC plug after disconnected
it from utility line. This voltage is frequently dangerous for operator when
disconnected the AC plug and touched it.

Fig. 1 is the diagram of solution is to add the safety circuit 4 between AC
plug 3 for utility line 2 and the general UPS logic 7.

The additional safety circuit 4 is consist of the AC relay 6 and connected
like above diagram. This circuit 4 behave following,

- If the AC plug 3 is disconnected from utility line 2, the AC relay 6 turn

OFF, the relay contact 5 is opened, then the AC plug 3 is physically cut
off to the general UPS logic 7. Therefore the leakage voltage from the
general UPS logic 7 is not happen to the AC plug 3.

- If the AC plug 3 is connected to utility line 2, the AC relay 6 turn ON,
the relay contact 5 is closed, then AC plug 3 is physically connected to
the general UPS logic 7. Therefore UPS operate normally.
