Abstract

Disclosed is an outsert molding lever structure of Hard Disk Drive to improve the noise between cover and lever and base and lever. Lever structure is described as below, 1.Plastic mold is outserted to the rotational center of the lever plate. [FIG 1,2] 2.The mold has the semiglobe on the top surface ,size of 0.15mm[FIG 2] 3.The mold of the bottom is step shape .[FIG 3] 4.The mold shape is sleeve and its inner diameter is same as the lever hole and sleeve is extend toward the cover to be adequate clearance .[FIG 4] [Fig 1]

To mold a plastic in the rotational center of the metal plate, it
can reduce the metal
contact noise between a base pin and a lever or cover and
lever.(FIG 4) .

To make the sleeve shape,the contact area between a lever and a
base pin is long.

And to be longer, a clearance between the base pin and the lever become smaller
then the lever is stable. The clearance between a cover and a
lever is adjustable by
changing the mold sleeve length.

To adjust the clearance between the lever and the cover,the lever
moves to upside
and downside a small distance and then the noise is reduced.

The semiglobe shape of the mold reduce the friction between a

cover and a lever.
The step shape of bottom can keep the assembly height to the base
pin.
