Abstract

This idea is power consumption reduction at screen saver mode. Power consumption of LCD is related display refresh rate. Generally TFT LCD's refresh rate is fixed at 60 Hz. If the refresh rate reduce from 60 Hz to 50Hz, at this time LCD's power consumption can be reduced about 16%. This idea is automatic refresh rate control by application software. The application is checked "screen saver" mode by scheduled task . LCD refresh rate is reduced when screen saver mode is detected by the application.

And any key is pushed by PC user, the refresh mode will be back to normal refresh rate.
