A Randomly-Priced Purchase System

    Disclosed is a networked purchase system in which a price of a goods is determined randomly in a specified range but some purchasers can get the goods for free.

    This system consists of sellers, purchasers, and the mediation server. The flow of process of this system is as follows:

    (1) A seller registers the following information to the server: the number of goods to be sold (in short, N in what follows), the specification of the goods (S), the lowest price (LP), the highest price (HP), the number of goods which are sold with free (FN), and the maximum period for accepting purchasing.

    (2) The server opens a purchasing session of the goods, and presents the above information provided by the seller to the participants.

    (3) A participant who agrees to purchase the presented goods with any price between LP and HP determined randomly by the server requests the server to register he/her as a purchaser for the goods.

    (4) If the number of purchaser is N or the maximum period for accepting purchasing specified by the seller has passed, the server closes the purchasing session, otherwise go to (3).

    (5) The server randomly selects FNxNN/N people of purchasers (where NN is the number of registered purchasers) who can get the goods for free among the registered purchasers, and notifies these selected purchasers of being able to purchase the goods for free.
