Currently existing browsers like Netscape* or Internet Explorer** do not take sorting into account at all when the user saves URLs. This new idea sorts the saved URLs automatically in alphabetic order by the URL's title in a fashion preset in the browser's configuration settings. Automatic sorting can be turned ON or OFF by the user in the configuration settings and once turned ON, the sorting is done in following way. First, following options can be preset by the user: 0. Automatic sorting of user saved URLs

Disclosed is a software system for automatic sorting of user
saved URLs(Uniform Resource Locator) in the bookmark lists of the
internet browsers. Currently existing browsers like Netscape* or
Internet Explorer** do not take sorting into account at all when
the user saves URLs. This new idea sorts the saved URLs
automatically in alphabetic order by the URL's title in a fashion
preset in the browser's configuration settings.

Automatic sorting can be turned ON or OFF by the user in the
configuration settings and once turned ON, the sorting is done in
following way.

First, following options can be preset by the user:

0. Automatic Sorting(On or Off)

1. Automatic creation of subfolders(On or Off)

2. Number of entries/subfolders in each folder(if 1 is On)

3. Depth of the tree or number of subfolders(if 1 is On)

Options 1, 2 and 3 are only enabled when the option 0 is on.
Also, the user is always allowed to edit the saved URLs manually
with sorting turned off. If a URL page does not have a title,
actual URL name is used. e.g. if the URL name is www.ThisURL.com,
This URL is used for the sorting order.

If 0 is on, every URL that is saved by the user is simply sorted
into alphabetic order, if the number of entries in a folder
exceeds the limit preset(option 2) and 1 is set to on, a
subfolder is automatically created. The name of the subfolder is
chosen in such away that it picks the letter that has most
entries. e.g if titles start with 'P' and this is...
