Abstract

Disclosed is a technique wherein improvement of print quality and print speed of thermal printer by head control circuits which control head active time of each head position of thermal head. Thermal printer is widely used in many application bacause the printer is able to print fast speed and no ink. However, this printer has a weak point in that print quality becomes worse at high speed printing beacause the printer has no print control circuit for each head dot, but all head dots. By using this circuit, print quality is in under control at high speed printing. Moreover, recentry color thermal paper is used for POS application. This paper appears many colors by thermal control of thermal head, and requires dot level control of thermal head. By using this circuit, each dot of thermal head is able to print with each color.
