This article describes a method of preventive mechanism for belt turning. For all of belt feed mechanism, the belt turning should be prevented because it cause various problems.

Preventive mechanism for belt turning

This article describes a method of preventive mechanism for belt turning.
For all of belt feed mechanism, the belt turning should be prevented because it
cause various problems.

Our method to prevent belt turning is putting the low friction spacer between the
feed belt and the feed pulley.

This method is simple and low cost, so it have a possibility of utility for belt
feed mechanism used generally.

Following Fig.1 is belt feed mechanism.

Normally, feed force is transmitted through the friction between the feed belt
and the feed pulley in point A.(Fig.1)

But if the feed belt is pushed and touched the pulley in point B with strong
friction, feed belt climbs the flange of pulley and turns finally.(Fig.2)

One way to prevent this symptom is to increase the friction of point A by using
following methods.

But this way have a possibility of the belt turning when the strong friction of
