Abstract

Disclosed is a method for voice reporting machine based on PC, which enables the PC to report a vioce message to a predetermined speaker without switching speaker line. Basically there are two methods for voice reporting by PC. The one is via a sound card to speaker, the other is via a voice modem to telephone. The former is for only one speaker set due to the original porpose of sound card, the latter does support to connect multiple telehone lines and application program can select one line of them. That is why more than one PC are necessary to be able to report a message via a predetermined speaker among several speakers. This method does enables one PC to speak via a speaker which is selected by an application program. This method uses voice modem with multple line function not use any sound card. For example, If a voice modem card has 4 lines-connection capability, a changer box is set out of PC , 4 lineouts cables are connected to the changer box . This changer box is able to change telephone line voice signal to audio level vioce signal including audio amplipher or just bypass the line to output . Software command or manual switches do this swithcing (change or bypass) on each line. The user can predetermine which line is used for an audio speaker or a real telephone line.
