Abstract

Dsiclosed is an RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) tag device which has the digital interface to connect to the system. There are two smart points of this RFID tag compared with the conventional RFID tag. First, it can support the communication between RFID tag and the system. Second, it can prevent the un-authorized access by passing through the gate to take the system out of the office. This smart RFID tag has a digital signal interface which the conventional RFID tag does not have. Fig.1 shows the diagram of the present digital interface. There are 2 advantage compared with the conventional RFID tag. 1) The communication between RFID tag and the system is achieved by VccTag/GND/Clock/Data signal lines. After the external RFID tag writer/reader update the EEPROM data in the RFID tag, the Notebook PC system can access the tag EEPROM and get the updated data of the EEPROM in the RFID tag through serial data interface.

          Fig.1 shows the diagram of the present digital interface. There are 2 advantage compared

              1) The communication between RFID tag and the system is achieved by

                  After the external RFID tag writer/reader update the EEPROM data in the RFID tag,
the Notebook PC system can access the tag EEPROM
and get the updated data of the EEPROM in the RFID tag through serial data
interface.

              2) The prevention of the un-authorized access by passing through the gate with RFID
tag reader is achived by Write Protect/Sidenbands signal lines.

                  "Write Protect" signal disables the un-authorized update of the EEPROM in the
RFID tag by the external RFID tag ariter.

                  Sideband signals disables the un-authorized access to the Notebook PC system
after passing through the gate with RFID reader by the command
sent from the gate with RFID reader.
