Automated removal of corruption from data page of a table in a database

Disclosed is an automated repair function with the functionality to perform automated removal of corruption from data pages of a table in a database.

The automated repair function accomplishes the automated corruption removal by processing a data page to identify valid records and internally save these records, then these saved valid records are inserted back into the data page after the data page has been initialized to an empty clean state. Indexes on the table will be invalidated by the repair function when a corrupted page is processed.

To repair a table with corrupted data pages the automated repair function can be used in the manner described by the following process:

Use the automated repair function to process the corrupted data pages.

After the corruption is removed, access the table and save the rest of the data from the table.

Drop the table. Recreate the table, and insert back the data saved.
