High Endurance Rotation Stopper Mechanism of Hinge

   Disclosed is the high endurance rotation stopper mechanism of hinge by half-punch
construction.

When using sheet metal construction, popular stopper
mechanism is to add the other piece of material.

But this makes the production cost higher than one-piece
construction.

Most popular one-piece stopper mechanism is bending the
sheet metal, but this causes the wider space requirement.

This mechanism provides one piece construction & narrows
space requirement.

Figure 1 shows the assembly image, and 2 stopper mechanisms
are shown as half-punch of sheet metal.

Figure 2 shows the detail dimensions of half-punch of sheet
metal.

Two half-punch has 4mm Diameter and 1.8 mm depth.
The strength of each half-punch is calculated by the
shearing load of cylinder.

The Formula is as follows.

    F = (Allowable Shearing Stress of Steel)x(Sectional
Area of Cylinder)

2= 4.8(Kg/mm)x3.14x2(mm)2 =60Kg

In case of sheet metal bending mechanism, the strength of
bending sheet metal is calculated by the bending load of
cantilever.

The Formula is as follows.

    F = (Allowable Bending Stress of Steel)x(Section
Module)/(Bending Length)

2= 6.0(Kg/mm)x4.166(mm3)/3(mm) = 8.3 Kg

               b : bending width (4mm),h: sheet metal
thickness (2.5mm)

As the result of above two simulations, half-punch
mechanism has about 7 times strength than bending
mechanism. And about 29mm bending width will be required
for getting the same stren...
