Open Fuse Detection Circuit

Disclosed is a system that has fuses inside and has a function to monitor fuse's s
user to the abnormal state of system when a open fuse is detected.

The system has at least one fuse inside the box as a protection device for unexpec
condition such as brocken devices or short circuits. Also the system has a circuit
fuse condition whether it is open or not. When the system is powered up, its power
will start. During this test, the system checks the fuse state by using monitor ci
detects that the fuse is blown out and it becomes open state, it shows the abnorma
screen by using error code and/or error message.

The monitor circuit can be implemented by monitoring voltage of load side of the f
the voltage of one side of fuse is correct and the other side is not, the fuse can
state. Another monitoring method is to measure current flow on the fuse. Once unex
current is detected by using a circuit, the state is latched and the abnormal stat
the user.

Above disclosure is a typical sample. As a alternate application, it is possible t
fuse state by using audible sound, such as beep. Another choice is LED to indicate

Regarding fuse type, this method is not limited to open type fuse, but also recova
as poly fuse, thermistor, and so on.
