Paper Feed Mechanism with Flapper Guide

Disclosed is a paper feed mechanism with the flapper guide which is located nearest to the paper-exit of the printer and certainly captures the printed paper. The flapper guide has a wedge-shape plate at the tip and can be pushed up automatically by the moving power of the printer. Accordingly the flapper guide is pushed up and not broken if the printer is pulled out for the maintenance or by mistake.

Fig.1 shows the side view of the feed mechanism and printer. The printed paper 3 is fed into the feed mechanism 1 by the exit guide 4 and the flapper guide 5. Fig.2 shows the details of the flapper guide. The wedge-shape plate 6 of the flapper guide 5 is pushed up by the printer cover when the printer is pulled out to the front side. The tips of the flapper guide 5 and exit guide 4 are formed like the teeth of a comb not to interfere each other.(Refer to Fig.3) The flapper guide 5 also returns to the original position when the printer is pushed back.
