This article describes a method of printing solution using dynamic printer selection system.

DHCP system is being used in many company's LAN environment,So you can use it without setting the IP address when you set the DHCP in your PC. For example you are using your portable PC in your office, one day you go to another branch of your company, but you can use your portable PC without setting any IP addresses if you set the DHCP in your PC. However when you print out the documents in the branch office, you need to find out IP address of available printer and to set it in your PC.

In our method, Printer DNS service as sub domain network is equipped in primary network. Fig.1 shows a example network of using this method. DNS service is offered by Iprint-B, its netprn DNS server, and printer server name in your PC is set as IPrint.netprn.cpnet.com.
1.When you print the documents, your PC asks IPrint.netprn.cpnet.com's IP address to DNS server, in this example, it cpnet.com.
2.The cpnet.com server reply to ask it to netprn.cpnet.com to your PC.
3.Then your PC asks IP address of IPrint.netprn.cpnet.com to netprn.cpnet.com.
4.The netprn DNS server get the IP address of the PC, then reply the IP address of IPrint.netprn.cpnet.com in the same area that requested PC is existed. The sub domain is used as printer network.
5.The PC receives IP address of the IPrint.netprn.cpnet.com from ntprn DNS server.
6.Then the PC send the print...
