Panel Search for OS/390 Install Clist

The OS/390 Installation Clist displays a series of ISPF panels that ask you to supply the parameter values or accept the shown default values. One must follow the panels one by one to provide parameter values or accept default values then continue to Install DB2.

The disclosed invention implements a " SEARCH " function in all panels.

If users reference the users' manual or are already familiar with all panels, they do not have to go through Clist panel by panel, step by step. As long as users know which parameter(s) they want to modify, or which panel(s) they want to work on, they can use this " SEARCH " function to directly bring them to those targets. It is no longer necessary to step through panels one by one to locate a desired panel.

A search function may be added in each Clist panel. This search function should work for each single parameter name or each panel id.
