The Structure to Protect Diffuser Warping on Direct type LCD Backlight

   Disclosed is the structure of the LCD backlight for large screen size so
called "direct-light-type".

     Fig-1 shows conventional "direct-light-type" backlight unit.
Light "Diffuser"plate is mechanically supported by "Diffuser Support PIN".

   The fuction of "Diffuser Suport PIN" is not to deform "Diffuser" caused by
thermal or the other reason.

But when it has a chance to deform the opposite direction( LC glass side ),
"Diffuser Support PIN" does not work.

   Then the center area of deformed "Diffuser" touches and press the Polarizer of
LC glass asm.

If the Polarizer is damaged screen uniformity degrade.

The structure of this problem solution is described as folowings.(FIG-4)

     1. Diffuser support structure is composed of 2-piece parts.
"Base" part of this structure is fixed on bottom of light house.
Bottom sphere of T-shaped "Pin" part is jointed on top of "Base"
part.

     2. Diffuser has a hole to pass the "Pin" part for these structure
assembling.

     3. "Pin" follows the move of diffuser and keep the restriction force
not to warp to LC glass side.
