Abstract

In this invented new input method, a new input scenario for stroke-based Chinese input is proposed . When using this method , the input of Chinese character is transferred into that the user place strokes into some predefined UI . Then the sequence dependency is eliminated. We first design a visual input UI as follows, Figure 1 In this UI, the input area is the scope of the rectangle. Based on the structure of Chinese characters, we define 6 effective areas inside this rectangle with mark 1 to 6; Moreover, we define several basic components as the representations of every parts of Chinese characters. Then users can input Chinese characters with this visual input method freely.
