Abstract

A spring loaded roller inside the keyboard can store the entire length of the keyboard cord or the portion not in use by winding the cord in the roller. The roller has stops while winding in the cord much like the power cord in a vacuum cleaner. To extend out the cord, the user can pull out appropriate length of the cord and slowly release the cord until the roller hits a stop. The user can shorten the cord length by a quick pull and slow release of the cord until it hits a stop. The entire cord length can be stored in the keyboard by a quick pull and quick release of the cord. 1
