Abstract

Disclosed is an LCD (liquid crystal display) module design which is able to protect the rear side from any physical damage completely, and will show high EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) performance. Figure shows the example of a cross section of this new LCD module design. Main features are as follows. 1. An LCD module retainer covered with a metallic rear cover, and stuck with an electrically insulation tape inside of the metallic rear cover. 2. The LCD metal bezel contacts with a steel metal which is a part of the retainer (contact A). 3. Some ground pads on the PCB (printed circuit board) of the LCD module contacts with a steel metal which part of the retainer (contact B). Therefore, an LCD module using this new design is able to protect the rear side from any physical damage completely, and will show high EMC performance. Figure 1
