An idea for improving computer carry case (or any bag)

Problem

Many people have laptop computers and other electric appliances such as cellular phones, PDAs, and other computing devices that need recharging. When they want to recharge the device, they remove it from its carrying case, and plug the device into an electric outlet. People do this even if they do not plan to use the device immediately.

Solution

I envision a carrying case equipped with an electric cord that can be connected to a power source for recharging. This time-saving case will preclude the need to remove the device from its carrying case just to plug it in to a power source. Optionally, an additional phone chord can be added so that automatic functions, such as downloading email, can be done without removing the device from its case.

Options

The power cord could be self-retracting, similar to the plug found on many vacuum cleaners.
