The RMT Messenger database determines the names all the users of the RMT application, looks up the users in the DON to obtain the correct domain and sends Notes mail to all those who have an entry in the DON. Problem: RMT is a Notes-based application that is installed around the world with a user base in excess of 11,000 users. There needed to be a way to communicate process information to all the RMT users in a specific geographical region as well as worldwide. Advantages: The advantages to the RMT Messager database are:

It provides a way to determine the user id's of all the RMT users. It provides a way to determine the Notes Domain for each user. It automates the sending of custom mail messages to each RMT user. This tool is independent of the deployment of the application

The invention solves the problem as follows:

The RMT Messenger database obtains the user id from a Relationship Profile document in the RMT application for each person who has installed the RMT application in each partition of RMT worldwide. RMT currently has seven different deployed partitions based on geographical regions. The RMT Messenger database then obtains the Notes Domain from the Directory On Notes (DON) for each of the user's ids and stores the information in a User Profile document in the Messenger database.
