Abstract

Disclosed is a RUBBER DAMPER design and mounting method, which is capable of absorbing vibration effectively in any axes from vibration sources. From viewpoints of comfortable office circumstances, it's essential to minimize vibration/noise emission from business machines such printers. Rubber dampers are used inside of those machines, and need to be custom-designed and mounted to absorb vibration effectively per characteristics of vibration/noise sources such as motors/solenoids etc.. This new Rubber damper design consists of; Slit to be made in the middle of Rubber damper's main body. It mates with vibration/noise source's mounting tab or Printer mechanism frame, and sets the source apart from enclosure or base cover. It also absorbs vibration from top-bottom directions by its shear compression motion.

of;

Cushioning ribs to be placed and surrounding Rubber damper's main body.

They can absorb vibration from right-left and front-rear directions by
its shear & compression motion. Damping loss, Quanty, thickness, length
and shape of each rib to can be defined accordingly per vibration
characteristics (amplitude, frequency and acceleration etc.) in each
axis direction
Mounting parts, such as Plate-holder, Mount-guide and screw, to hold

Rubber dampers in place. They can make Rubber damper smaller-sized and
easily-installable.
