Abstract

Disclosed is an expert system for the automatic price revision of goods displayed on the shelf with a IC tag that includes the information of the price and the freshness etc. Applying this expert system to the operation of a store or a restaurant that deal with raw and fresh materials, it becomes possible to avoid processing the goods that would be remained unsold and to minimize the surplus and the loss.

   Disclosed is an expert system for the automatic price revision of goods displayed on the shelf with a IC tag that includes the information of the price and the freshness etc. Applying this expert system to the operation of a store or a restaurant that deal with raw and fresh materials, it becomes possible to avoid processing the goods that would be remained unsold and to minimize the surplus and the loss.

   Fig-1 shows the flow chart of the expert system. For the operation of the system, the database that includes following information is provided and updated properly. All information is the factor that introduce the necessity of revising the current price.

1. Displayed Inventory (the number and item of goods displayed on the shelf for sale, the time processed and displayed etc) 2. Warehouse Inventory (the number and kind of goods, materials in the warehouse as stock)

3. Goods Information (information about goods, ex, cost price, importance of its freshness, freshness dependency on temperature/humidity etc) 4. Sales Management (the time and price log of goods sold, the customer category log of goods sold etc)

5. Shop Information ( date and time, The number of customer, Temperature/Humidity, the past sales result etc)
