Humidity Prevention Sheet for Print Paper

This article describes 'Humidity Prevention Sheet' which makes easy to feed
the print paper on the paper cassette equipped in the ACM (Automated Consulting
Machine) or similar products which are installed in a public buildings where air
conditioning is usually turned off after service hours. So that they are possible
to be exposed to uncontrolled ambient, which is exceeding the specified
temperature/humidity conditions.

It is known that paper media loose its stiffness when it is moisturized with
high humid air, which degrade stable form feed out of a printer, especially
for a cut form printer which feeds papers by friction. Once the Humidity
prevention sheet made of a sheet of plastic is placed on the top of the paper
stored in the paper cassette, as shown in figure 1, it prevents
acclimatization of the paper from the humid air, and maintain good condition
till the printer becomes ready for service. This sheet also prevents the
paper surface from the foreign materials, such as dust, which helps to improve
form feed reliability.

In case of ACM, the two different sheets, that correspond to two different
size of cut forms are prepared so that each of them covers the entire surface
of media except for the space for the pick roller, as shown in the figure 1.
