Abstract

Disclosed is the automatic generation of appropriate environmental parameters (such as aroma) based on analysis of the content of related documents in a computer system. We disclose two primary embodiments. In each embodiment, communication is occurring between two computers, via email, instant messaging, web page creation and subsequent access, or other known methods. The originator of the message is referred to as the "sending computer" and the receiver of the message is referred to as the "receiving computer". FIGURE 1: sending computer communication path

Automated Content-Based Generation of Environmental Parameters

Disclosed is the automatic generation of appropriate environmental parameters (such as aroma) based on analysis of the content of related documents in a computer system.

We disclose two primary embodiments. In each embodiment, communication is occurring between two computers, via email, instant messaging, web page creation and subsequent access, or other known methods. The originator of the message is referred to as the "sending computer" and the receiver of the message is referred to as the "receiving computer".

Figure 1 describes the first embodiment. In this embodiment, software within the sending computer analyzes content of user's outgoing communication. Based on content, sensory codes are generated and sent in conjunction with the note text. This is used when the receiving party has sensory capabilities but the sender does not wish to manually define environmental parameter settings to be sent.
