Interface and Power Supply Connector Support Apparatus by using Metal Bandage and Tape

Disclosed is an interface connector and a power supply connector
··support apparatus by using a metal bandage and a tape in Hard
Disk
··Drive.

··

Fig.1 shows the typical Hard Disk Drive. The unexpected force by

rough cable connect and unconnect causes the damage of the
interface connector, the power supply connector or the circuit
board.

Fig.2 shows the metal bandage and Fig.3 shows detail of assembly
of
the metal bandage with the tape. The metal bandage fixed to Hard

Disk Drive by the tape limits the abnormal defrection of the
connector
and card, because the metal bandage form likes the shape of Hard
Disk Drive. Thus the apparatus increase the failure strenght against the unexpected force.

In addition to mechanical strength improve, this apparatus is very adjustable because the metal bandage is not complete ring. Therefore this apparatus can be applied to Hard Disk Drive easily, and prevent the connector or card from the failure.
