Disclosed is a method of preventing an authorized user from opening a file attached to an e-mail message sent to him/her. -In this method, an e-mail sender can know a mail receivers' action of "opening(saving) attached file in sent mail" by using "return receipt function" in a mail server. Moreover the mail sender can also forbid the mail receiver's action of opening(saving) attached file in the sent mail unless the sender permits access authorization for receiver.

By this invention, the user can take advantage of the following: -It becomes easier for mail senders to know mail receiver's interests by knowing who are opening(saving) attached file in e-mail. -It prevents unauthorized users from making an access to the attached file in e-mail.
