Voice Recognition used to identify callers in telephony conference call environment.

Problem: When there are many people on a conference call it is difficult to distinguish between callers.

Solution: Use Voice Recognition to identify each caller as they begin to speak - this information can be used to display the name of the speaker at the far end handset (on a digital phone). This will enable the far end listener(s) to identify which caller is currently on line. The main advantage of this solution is that it can be achieved without any additonal hardware.

Existing Voice recognition technologies exist to identify callers from their speech - this would be used in combination with the far end display to display the name of the person currently speaking.

The advantage of this solution is that it can be readily implemented using existing VR and telephony techonology.
