Abstract

[Subject] Affirmation of access record log of computer room using both card readers and an access control system under a methode of Physical Security Management. [Conventional technology] Computer room requires high-security management. Therefore, in addition to·the past method of·security control using card reader and an access control system which access can be limited as well as an access record are logged, an Interlocking Method and anti-passback method is being adopted. Interlocking method functions as: Place an additional door prior to the main door. At a certain point when there was an access to the door, release only one·door.· However, these methods have disadvantages: 1. When there was a simultaneous access of IN and OUT, no accurate access record log·due to the fact that system can hardly acknowledge whether an access was made by·"IN" door or "OUT" door. 2. User cannot verify on access status and therefore leading to a misconduct.

past method of·security control using card reader and an access control system
which

[Solution/Composition]
·For solution, we controlled the priority of access to the card reader by
limiting one person per each access. (Figure 1)
·We also enhanced the system by displaying a message "access to the card
reader disabled". At this condition, no signal will be sent to the card reader
preventing from simultaneous access. These solutions have been carried out
when the priority is given to other card reader as well as in an Interlocking
