AS/400 Transition & Migration Tool is designed to provide a significant help to perform AS/400 system Migrations or Transitions.

Supported Operations are : - Migration to a same release non-preloaded system (no release change) - Migration to a higher release non-preloaded system (replace release) - Migration to a pre-loaded system (only if versions are equal) - Transition "Unload/Reload" method - Transition "Replacing a release" method - Transition "Side by Side" method

     Depending on the type of operation selected, different menus will guide the user to run individual tasks.

These tasks are divided in several phases : - Common preparation tasks - Final tasks before save
- Save tasks
- Restore tasks - Final tasks after restore - Synchronization tasks are available for Migration or Transition

     Tool provides the following : - Completion status for each task - Before running a task, check for prerequisite tasks) if any - Log and joblog spool files for each task - Dynamic Status of selected operation - Detailed user's guide describing operations and tasks
