Disclosed is a method and system for controlling the operation of a data processing application which has been developed according to needs expressed by a customer and which has been installed at the customer site.

The method and system comprise three operative domains all related to management of the application operation. The problem management, the change management and the deviation management. The solution consists in implementing a data processing system allowing connection of all the groups involved in the project (Customer, Developers, Project manager) and sharing of a unique repository comprising the problem data base and the information describing the application.
