Abstract

Dual Tandem High Force Mechanism for Hot Blind Swapping Double-Wide PCI Cards in Tight Spaces Has become a requirement for IBM to hot swap a double-wide PCI like cards while in a cassette without sliding the node/enclosure or effecting adjacent cards with power on. In order to achieve this task we needed to develop a state art dual/tandem high force mechanism to reliably seat and extract card from a running system. 1 2
