Abstract

When a user receives an electronic invitation to a meeting, he often might want to invite other persons to the meeting without bothering the original sender of the notice. The user can do this by simply forwarding the notice to the new invitees. He would also like any further notices about the meeting (e.g. reschedules) to also be forwarded to the new invitees. Unfortunately there is no way to do this automatically. The user would have to manually forward all further meeting notices and updates.

Recipient based method to automatically forward meeting notices

Method proposed here is to modify the recipient's message handling system to automate this procedure. When the recipient receives the original meeting notice and forwards it to the new invitees, recipient will be further prompted to set up automated forwarding of any future meeting notices. When the message handling system on the user's machine receives future notifications, it:
1. Delivers the notifications to the user as usual
2. Automatically forwards these notifications to the list of new invitees.
